CAN'T GET NO SATISFACTION

Every day that passes seems to blow my mind more than the previous day.

The "news of today" is all about the teacher's union in Wisconsin protesting at the capital because they do not want to contribute to their 401-K and health care rather than the state paying for all of it. Because the Democrat Senators do not want to go on record and vote for or against this measure for the budget, they have tucked tail and run from the issue rather than facing it, dealing with it, finding a solution, pulling themselves as a state up by their bootstraps, and get down to brass tacks.

WAKE UP, AMERICA!

The world is literally spinning out of control. What started in the Middle East is now trickling over here to The United States.

What I find interesting is how so many people are talking about the fight for freedom in the Middle East, yet here in America- The Land of the FREE- riots are breaking out.

I honestly do not have a lot of words tonight. I'm amazed, yet very saddened, to see this country spiraling out of control. Why? Greed. I want what others have but I do not want to work for it.

I am a firm believer that if you want something you have to work hard for it. None of us get a free ride.

Another strange thing for me- the more technology and information progresses the more ridiculous people become. America, you better wake up!

Lord God, Your Word says that when we do not have the words to pray that The Holy Spirit intercedes for us. My heart is so heavy for this country. Have You already sent the delusion that so many will believe? That is the only way any of this makes sense.

As I do each day, I continue to pray for Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. It seems that the harder she fights to improve each day, the more her party fights to destroy this country from within. God, help us. You truly are our only Hope.

I pray all of this in Jesus Name, Amen.

YOU HAVE TO STAND FOR SOMETHING

There's an old saying that's a cliche that came out as a country song that speaks volumes of truth. "You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything."

I look around this nation and I am caught in the middle of several different emotions. I'm sad to see what this country has become. I'm disgusted to the point of almost physically throwing up oftentimes, these days, to see what this nation, founding on Judeo-Christian principle, has allowed to happen. I'm also very determined and steadfast. Though I look around and see these things it just makes me more determined to stand up for what I believe in and not back down.

No, I do not think that you have to believe and feel as I do. But you most certainly are not going to shut me up from saying how I feel or standing up for what I believe in. I've fallen for many things in my life because I did not stand up. Every day that I get older I become more resolute in who I am and who I am called to be.

Sadly, this nation has become a mere whisper of what we once were and could be again.

Thankfully, I believe there are enough people who are just as determined as I am that they will stand for what they believe in.

I pray for this nation. I pray that she will once again become the strong, courageous, God-fearing nation she once was.

I pray also, as I do each day, for Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. I am so thankful to see how far she has come already! God Almighty is so good!

I pray all these things in Jesus Name- Amen.

LIES, LIES, LIES

I am sick of the lies! Everywhere I turn, all I hear are lies, lies, lies and MORE lies!

We've come to a point in our society where "truth" is subjective. Your truth may not be my truth, and neither of our truths may be the next person's truth.

Truth is facts, not opinion. That's the problem when we come to accept "truth" as subjective. If you do not have solid facts to stand on, it's not truth. Period. If it is not truth it is false- a lie.

IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE ALIVE!

It has been reported that Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords is making remarkable progress at "lightning fast speed". God Almighty IS the God of miracles! If you would have made the "prediction" that she would be this far along in her progress this soon, no one would have believed you.

It is reported that she is now taking steps by herself, that she called her brother-in-law in space, and she has been briefed on the latest events in Egypt. Praise Your Name, Jesus!

I have no doubt that Ms. Giffords life is nothing less than a miracle! I believe it is along the lines of 5% of people who are shot in the head actually survive. To make a full recovery, I am not sure what the statistics are, but I know it is very, very, very slim. I continue to pray every single day that God will continue to keep Ms. Giffords in His loving, healing hands. I pray that His touch will heal her completely, and she will walk back onto the floor of Congress to a standing ovation from this country.

It truly is a great day to be alive! To see miracles happen in your life is a blessing! I have absolutely no doubt that prayer works! Here's to you, Congresswoman Giffords! All praise and glory and honor be to You, King Jesus! Thank You for sparing Ms. Giffords life and performing this miracle before the very eyes of this nation that has turned her back on You. God, please have mercy. We do not deserve Your mercy, as a nation, but God Almighty, I pray for mercy. I pray that this nation will fall on her face before You, repent for her sins. I do not believe we can fathom the miracles we would see if we did!

I pray these things in the precious Name of Jesus Christ- Amen.

LIKE SANDS THROUGH THE HOURGLASS

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.

I'm sure you recognize this statement. Even for those of you who have never seen a single second of the daytime drama/soap opera which has been around for more than 40 years, this intro is one of the most well-known phrases in our society.

I'm actually one that watched "Days of Our Lives" for many years.

It has been years and years since I've watched the show, but the intro line is one I'll never forget.

Yes, like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives. Why is this so poignant for so many people, I wonder?
