CAN'T GET NO SATISFACTION

Every day that passes seems to blow my mind more than the previous day.

The "news of today" is all about the teacher's union in Wisconsin protesting at the capital because they do not want to contribute to their 401-K and health care rather than the state paying for all of it. Because the Democrat Senators do not want to go on record and vote for or against this measure for the budget, they have tucked tail and run from the issue rather than facing it, dealing with it, finding a solution, pulling themselves as a state up by their bootstraps, and get down to brass tacks.

Once again, it's greed. Our nation as a whole, and each state individually, is facing budget crisis. Instead of facing facts about the place we are in, so many people think it's all about what they want. Everyone else has to sacrifice so "I" can get what "I"  want. Never mind that it is just a continuation of the stealing from our children's future. It's all about now, me, what I want, now!

This has been a process that started many years ago and has progressed to a sick "perfection". There is no more saving up for what you want, it's all about financing it, putting it on the credit cards, enjoying everything today, forget about tomorrow.

But now, tomorrow is here. We've reach the end of the line. There is no more credit to give. Nothing else we can borrow from. And yet, still, they insist for what they want now! Selfishness and greed, plain and simple. They refuse to step back and accept that if they do not give up this luxury item that is not ESSENTIAL to their life, they are going to in fact lose it ALL!

So be it.

There are PLENTY of teachers who have been layed off in other states who will GLADLY take the jobs that these teachers on strike are not satisfied with! When push comes to shove, and it's all or nothing... you very well may be left with absolutely nothing!

Lord God... again tonight, I am at a loss for words to pray. Holy Spirit, I pray that You will intercede for me. This madness that is gripping this country is just astounding! I pray that Governor Walker will continue to stand strong on this issue in Wisconsin. These teachers and elected state senators are acting like children who were told they can't have a piece of candy before dinner time, and now they are throwing a temper tantrum. Please protect Governor Walker and the other leaders who are standing up to do what is necessary. We have to make the tough choices.

As I do each day, I continue to pray for Congresswoman Giffords. I pray that you will heal her completely. Bless her and keep her, protect her each step of the way in her progress.

I pray these things in Jesus Name- Amen.
