ABOVE IT ALL

Tonight is another night where I do not have a lot of words. However, I have a song.

All day long this song has been playing over and over in my mind. I've clung to its message all day long, and I will share it with you tonight. The Lord God Almighty is all the Hope I have. While I am very happily married, I have 5 beautiful children, I'm literally on the cusp of one of my lifelong dreams coming true, and yet, there is still a desperation on my soul. I'm so weary of the things going on in our country and in our world. It only makes sense because I know the Word of God. As this song says, I know I"m not of this world. However, I live in this world, as do those I love, and the world is in our face every single day! To see the insanity going on around us every single day, and growing in intensity every single moment of the day, it becomes overwhelming if I do not stop and focus on the promises that God has given us.

So I pray that this song will give you the strength that it gives me. The song is by Building 429, a Christian group. The song is, "Above It All".

Lord God, my prayer is simple tonight. Lift us up above it all. All the mayhem and destruction, all the madness and insanity. I know You have a purpose and reason for everything that happens in our life. Thank You for the peace that You consistently give to me. Lift us up above all the evil, Lord God.

God Almighty, I pray for President Obama. I pray that he will lift his eyes and heart up to You and seek Your will for this country rather than his own agenda.

I pray that You will continue to life up Gabrielle Giffords. When she is feeling broken and alone, give her the strength to carry on. You have truly performed a miracle in her life and recovery. I pray that You will continue to do so.
